FAQ'S

Are children’s programs offered during worship services?
Childcare is provided in our nursery area for infants through age four during the 10:30 a.m. service. Older children attend the worship service with their families. “Children’s Moments” is a time during each service in which a special lesson is shared with our children at the altar.  Worship bags are given to each child at the end of the lesson.

What else happens for children on Sunday mornings?
Children two years of age through sixth grade are invited to attend Sunday School which begins at 9:30 a.m.
If my children are attending for the first time, where do I take them?
There is always a greeter in the Children's Wing of the church on Sunday mornings. The greeter will be able to direct you and your child to the appropriate class.

Are all children to be picked up by a parent at the end of the hour?
All children in the nursery and those ages two to five years old must be picked up by a parent. All older children will be sitting on the pews in the Children's Wing Hallway following Sunday School (10:15 a.m.) and may be picked up there.

How is my child’s safety assured?
All those who work with children at Laurel First have undergone background checks and interviews with church staff. Regular observation, open classrooms, and a high volunteer-to-child ratio assist in ensuring your child’s safety while at Laurel First.
